Strangers from a Foreign Land

God continually challenges our expectations with the way he does business. First, he invites the lowly shepherds to celebrate the birth of Jesus, over and above anyone in Jerusalem. Now, we look at the story of the Magi, pagan priests from a far away land. Why would God invite them over the chief priests and pharisees - the religious leaders of his chosen people? Jesus is for everyone, and God will do whatever he has to so that the message is heard.
